Okay this all happened a while ago now, and I forgot to post about it... but here it is:
Sad news from Local Act Comics!
"Wtf?", I hear you say...
Well tragically, after years of being amazing and super pro-active in the Australian comic book world, helping out billions of starving Australians who wanted to be comic book creators, Local Act Comics has closed its doors. We all understand that the decision was difficult, but necessary, as Mr Dave Cunning (the man who did everything for all of us) is growing a family at the moment.

Hello friends,
I've been working on a few pages for Zombolette #3... I'm spending loads more time on the artwork, and still doing lots of silly things but also some different kinds of jokes.
ANYWAYS, I wanted to show you this particular one to see what you think. A few people have said they don't quite get it... it's just meant to be silly, and that really is a theory in astrophysics! For realz! What do you think? Is it worth including in the book? Do you love me? :>
I do want to include it... maybe you have a suggestion for a better way to express it? PLEASE HELP ME LOTS OKAY.

Zombolette Impresses the Ladies
It's here, peeps! It's in Minotaur (and some shops in Sydney I guess), or you can go to the website and order yo'self a copy :)
I'm excited. I think this one's better than the first effort, personally. Plus it comes with a pull-out poster of Zombolette TOTALLY IN THE NUDE. Okay, so that's not true, but it's still got sexy stuff in it, k?

I haven't posted much to the ole' Zombolette LJ in aaaages. This is because:
a) I used to upload everything at work, but our new IT guy has restricted our internet usage (boooo!!)
b) I'm lazy
c) I'm too cool to do anything at all ever
BUT I have been finishing the second Zombolette comic, which should be on shelves March/April. Exciting!
I've also been attending Melbourne's creator meet-ups. It's always inspiring talking to all these real-life proper comic artists and writers and listening to their words of wisdom and see what people have been working on. Plus we talk about zombies sometimes and that's OK with me.

Man I should probably explain why I've stopped updating!
Well it's because of this: Zombolette is getting published! I'm extremely pumped :P
I need to have everything done by mid-July, and it should all be apples from there on in.
The publisher is Local Act Comics - they seem like SUPER nice dudes and it's all very nice and exciting. I just haven't decided what I want to do with the website or if I want to keep updating them here. I think it will be difficult because I will be making them for a book-kind-of-format, and it might not work as well as a webcomic any more. I'd also like to include longer stories and stuff in the next issues, if I get to make them... we'll see!

Okay, I should explain the lack of weekly Zombolette...
...I lost it. I drew it all nice and ready a week early, and I put it <*insert mystery place here*> so I could have it ready to be scanned. I don't know where it is. I've been waiting for it to just show up again, but no luck so far (surprisingly!). Now here's what's gonna happen:
1. I will wait a little longer.
2. When waiting proves fruitless, grieving shall begin.
3. The grieving process lasts until Thursday - there are a few steps to it.
4. Thursday evening, I pluck up the strength to RE-DRAW the fucking comic.
5. Friday. A fresh start. Weekly Zombolette resumes.
6. Our lives will be a little less meaningful forever.
I'll see y'all at step 5, motherfuckers!
